The The Childrens's Foundation (TCF) Respite Program is a resource for special-needs children and youth aged five to nineteen. Natural families receive respite for two nights per month on an ongoing basis. The program operates from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Children referred to this respite program are autistic or may have a combination of autism and other special needs. Children receive respite in the homes of foster respite caregivers who have been recruited, supported, and trained by TCF. All referrals to this program come from the funding body, Community Living British Columbia (CLBC).
